This has been a long few days for me. I have been touched by something diabolical and Belle and I spent the last two days submerged in Twilight fandom and it has been sick (I'm not even sure I use that in a good way or a bad way). On Sunday I battled some not so hot morning issues and we went to the Borders in Westwood to gather around and see Peter Facinelli, Jackson Rathbone, Michael Welch, Solomon Trimble and Christian Serratos do a quick round of questions and later do a signing. We didn't get there early enough for the signing. People were there at 5pm Saturday to wait in line and the first 70 got bands for the signing. But Belle had a hook up and we got to meet Michael and get our picture with him. He also signed my Kids with a Cause t-shirt. He was really nice. Of course I can't picture him in my head from Joan of Arcadia days but I think he's a good Mike Newton. I, of course, didn't think to bring my camera and only had my iPhone with me for both this day and Monday which speaks to my lack of preparation. I really am working on half of what a normal mind works with.

On Monday we got up at 6am to be in Westwood by 7:30 to get in line for the Twilight Premiere audience. There were already 400 people ahead of us and some people had been camping out since Friday night. It was utterly insane. Belle and I settled in with knitting and City of Ashes to pass the time in the unbelievable heat, 90F. You can believe me when I say it was ridiculous the number of annoying, loud and stupid people. And maybe we can own up to the stupid part of that ourselves but it was painful. We waited until noon and then they let us move and it took 2 hours for us to get our wristbands to get into the holding area. Then it was waiting on your feet for 3 hours with no room to stretch and people started pusing and shoving early. They did come by and gave us water. My guess is that they were worried that people would pass out. Then they gave us little rubber bracelets that say Twilight and then 11-21-08. Finally they gave us t-shirts. The smallest size was a medium and it was pretty big. Then it was more waiting. I was just happy I could text D because I desperately needed to get my mind off the crowds and there was nothing there but people which does not soothe me. So D saved the day. And the cute small child named Lindsay who stood in front of us who was totally adorable. They handed out raffle tickets to win passes for the premiere and I told Belle I would ditch her if I won and it was only one ticket. Then when we heard it was two, I told her I still ditch her and take Kellan.

The first one to show was Michael Welch and then it is kind of a blur. We were stading at the end of the runway, right before the platform for the interviews and it was a difficult place to be because a lot of actors, *cough*KStew and Taylor*cough* blew right by and didn't even cast a look in our direction. Not to rant but I don't think that Taylor is that big of a star that he can snub fans, not that I am saying I'm one of them but there were several around me, this early in the game. It's such an arrogant move. Kellan was beautiful and he was big and brawny and sweet to the fans. He signed tons of things and took pictures with what seemed like everyone. I think the best description of him would be dapper. Mhmmm.

Jackson was incredible. I haven't been a big Jackson fan because some of the the MTV interviews with him just turned me off. But he was just so nice. He came to our section on three separate occassions to get everyone. He took his time and seemed genuinely appreciative. I was really impressed and I totally have had my mind changed. I would say that I am now a fan.

Sol came through and people behind me were surprised that he was even in the movie because he had such a small part and they were disappointed in the fact that he's this thin wirery guy. He seemed to eat up the attention though. I don't know how I feel about him but I was hoping he'd come over and give me Krys's phone number or last name.

Justin Chon looked really good but I wasn't able to find any pics of him. I think he was the second of the night to show. He kind of got lost in the interview section and was never to be seen by me again.

Peter Facinelli was there with Jennie Garth who just looks beyond beautiful althought I hated the dress she wore. It looked like a Grecian looking garbage bag. Both took time to sign. I thought it was awesome that Jennie signed autographes as it wasn't her event. They looked really good together. He's a handsome devil.

Cam was a freaking lunatic. He was a ham and cheeseball. Belle maintains that he is d-bag and I have to agree because he is, but I love him to death. I was hoping to get close enough to him to tell him that I know where he shops. I want to see if I can unnerve him if I tell him we live near one another.

I didn't care too much about Ashley. I feel bad for not being excited about her but I was blown away by Rachelle's stunning beauty. She looked breathtaking. I wish I could have heard the interview she gave. The one draw back of being there in person.

A couple of others that I didn't get too excited about were Billy Burke, Elizabeth Reaser, Gil Birmingham--who teased fans with his attentions. It seemed cruel. Sarah Clarke was there too. Oh! Edi was there and he was so cute. He was dressed real nice and he seemed to be caught between being a ball of energy and very serious. Again another interview I would have likd to have heard. Christian was gorgeous. Anna Kendrick was there and sort of flew below my radar. Melissa Rosenberg was there and she looked about 20 foot tall and really elegant but I wanted actors.

So who's left? Kristen and Rob. First like I said before, I'm not sold on KStew and I won't have my mind changed until I see the movie. Her attitude towards fans is a growing amusement. She called them retarded at one point so it is all kinds of fun to watch what comes out of her mouth. I really would have loved to see what would have happened if she had to interact with the fans last night. I thought that last night she looked really pretty. Not at all the brokeass whore that she could have looked like. But her facial expressions in every picture seem to bleed through her general unhappiness to be there and I don't know who I feel worse for her or the fans.

Now Rob... He surprised me on multiple counts. He was dressed up and not in a button up shirt undone to his nipples. His hair started out combed back and not a duck's butt. He was not the last one to arrive. He was clean shaven. I really expected him to show up in typical Rob fashion and I love him dearly but I put nothing he does as a surprise these days. But no, no. Rob was gorgeous and stylish even. Although in my opinion his pants were a little tight looking but I blame his stylist for that. By the time he got up to us his hair was all silly but that is because the man has a serious nervous habit and it couldn't be helped. He went out of his way to sign things for fans and play the doting actor. I totally feel for the man. He's been elevated to near god status in the fandom and he is handling it like it's nothing at all. He doesn't even get to move without the soundtrack of screaming girls. No one can ever hear him. Poor guy. What happens when he leaves acting for a music career?

I just finished Living Dead in Dallas and I want to shoot Sookie. Thankfully she didn't cry as much in this book as in the first one but I have to be honest and say I don't see what Sam, Bill and Eric see in her. It must be the impressive bosom that gets mentioned in this book. I do have to say that I was unbelievably happy with the amount of Bill and Eric in this book. I think I fell further in love with Eric. He's so lusty. *shakes head* I don't know if I can get behind a reformed Jason. Part of his charm was that he was an unconsciencable man-whore. I did like the story though... although Sookie is just flat out dumb sometimes. I don't think I'm ready to jump into Club Dead now though. It might be a few days until I can take more of Sookie Stackhouse.

This last past week more ads for How to Be surfaced. It's had some success in London and New England with screenings. I hope that it means that it will get a fair shake in the new year and get some distribution. I am just dying to see this film. Some yummy Rob goodness.

I have my desktop looking like my trash pin it's covered in pics so I thought it was time that I posted some of them so they can be dropped into iPhoto and I can see my desktops again. I love the new baseball one. I think Jackson looks good there. I'm not a fan of his crazy 80's hair in the film so seeing him with the hat on is major points in my book. I am totally becoming a huge Cam Gigandet fan and I think this pic is such a good James one. I watched the video from Comic Con again and he's just a creepy mofo.Krys... I'm such a sinner with the perving on a baby, but I think he's really beautiful. Should have been Jacob. I could have bought him over Taylor Lautner. The Read poster makes me shake my head. It's genius in a marketing standpoint but I wonder if they have any shame. And then the girls. I both love and hate this picture. It makes it all seem neat and pat. They are all Twilight whores. All of them.

Yesterday I found the audiobooks and pdf for Breaking Dawn. If anyone sees this and wants me to upload them let me know and I will. I am not ashamed of my pirate-y ways and think audiobooks cost way too much for something so cheap to make. By the same notion, anyone know where I could score the Gemma Doyle Trilogy on audiobook I would greatly appreciate it. I do miss me some Kartik. And I loaned my first two books out and can't reread them.

D has been really unhappy at work for a while so he was going to take the latest offer that Get Back. But just when he thought all was lost Spike TV, who he works for offered him a promotion with an office and a pay raise. So of course he couldn't in good conscience say no to that and he took the promotion. Today he got his office and you can see it in the picture to the left. Nice view too. Now I am determined to decorate his office. I want to get some lucky bamboo for it and he can use one of my Twilight posters if he wants. I think he needs to get some swag from MTV, it's the mother company to Spike TV and then his walls won't look so bare.

My plans for the weekend include seeing a movie with Connie and whomever else is coming. I think I plan to do nothing but read over the weekend. I have 80 Harlequin Blaze books, Vampire Kisses, Vampire Diaries, Tithe, more Sookie Stackhouse books. I could happily read and do nothing else and have no problems with it. We will see.

There was a surprise guest. Hugh Jackman came out in support of the new X-Men movie Wolverine. They showed a short preview of it and it looked really good.Everyone was screaming when the recognized a character. The place went wild when they saw Gambit, who will be played by the dishy Taylor Kitsch. Yum.

The next panel was for the movie Push starring Chris Evans, Dakota Fanning, Camilla Belle and Djimon Hounsou. The director, Paul McGuigan was also on the panel. I wasn't sure about the movie at first but the clips that they showed sold me on it.The one clip showed Dakota and Chris in a fish market in Hong Kong and they run into these bad guys and fishtanks are exploding all around them. It sounds silly when I say it but it was really intriguing. Chris Evans is really too hot.

I wasn't really into the Nicholas Cage movie, Knowing. It looks interesting but I'm not a Cage fan. The premise is something I would want to read about though. It's too bad its a movie.

Finally it was time for Twilight and I was so not disappointed. The venue quivered and squeed as the cast, Stephenie and Catherine came out. I sadly can't tell you much of what they talked about because I was so excited I really don't know that I was of sound mind. I do remember Catherine intimating that Rob was doing Bella's Lullaby. I know that Rob wants Taylor to take his shirt off. There is a pervert of a TwiMom out there who asked a 16 year old boy if he wears boxers or briefs and asked Kristen if she knew if Rob did. When a fan yells that they love Rob, his answer is 'Good'. Cam wants to come back next movie despite the fact that his character dies in this movie. Rob thinks Rachelle is smarter than him.  Rob looked adorable and humble and shy. Alex interviewed him for Access Hollywood and I'm anxious to see that article. Catherine wasn't asked that many questions. Stephenie pushed Breaking Dawn saying her favorite Edward and Bella moment was in the fourth book. Kristen looked really good. She was nervous and fidgety though. It looked endearing rather than unprofessional. Cam looked really good and his humor really came out. Rachelle is always so eloquent and gorgeous. Edi did get to answer a few questions and it was the first time I really have ever heard him speak. And Taylor looked so so young and shiny and new.

As for Twilight, today was a big day... The new trailer premiered on Entertainment Tonight and it, in my opinion, showcases Cam Gigandet being a scary mofo, more than anything. They showed a few scenes never seen before. Rob looks pretty good in most of them. My feeling of the trailer is that it is still selling to the fandom and I am really waiting for the trailer that is for the general public. The scenes seemed a bit hodge podge to me. I was looking for something more seamless and purposeful. I think when they release the trailer on Yahoo! Movies that it will be a bit different than what they showed on ET... sayin' that it won't have the floor destruction clip 47 times.

But that's not all. I got my notice in the mail from TwilightTheMovie.com talking about the EW issue and the trailer. They had a reminder about Comic Con. And it was Twilight Tuesday today and they finally had something about Rob. The interview has some real cute parts in it. The part about his feet was a bit odd. Size 10 doesn't seem so big to me. I quizzed D about his shoe size to compare. My complaint is that while this is all new to us, the footage is months old now. I want an interview with hobo Rob in a bar somewhere with his hookers while he chain smokes and answers questions like where does he stay, here, in LA and what his phone number is. How do I get Larry Carroll on that?
Lastly, for tonight, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. The first act went live last night and we watched it as soon as we heard. It's pretty funny stuff. I mean it's Joss Whedon so how could it not be funny? NPH is awesome in it. I love his mannerisms. He sings really well too. Nathan Fillion is just what I thought he would be and that isn't a bad thing. I think the two of them together really tickled my funny bone. I wish this was bigger, longer and much more. My friend and comrade, Alex Cook, who doesn't pay his girlfriend for sex, interviewed Joss on Monday and the article is really pretty good. Of course Access Hollywood doesn't even have Twilight on it's radar so I don't know how serious you can take the rest of the site. Back to Joss. I have planned out everyday at Comic Con and I am planning to go to the Dr. Horrible Q&A panel and the late night showing. Seeing anything with Joss makes it funner. That is how I saw my first screening of Serenity, with Joss and 100 of his closest friends (of the night). Note to self... must meet Joss again this year at Comic Con.

But that wasn't all... nope. There were the Rob as a mountain man on a week long binge pictures. I know Belle still finds him hott but he can hide a family in his new beard growth. Rumors abound that he's dating Camilla Belle, from 10,000 B.C. However she used to be dating his best friend so that seems all too much like the soaps to me. I just want him to look like he bathes. I really don't like the one with him and Ed Westlake and Rashida Jones. Really.

The Promo to Penelope has been leaked and it's a cute minute long thing of behind the scenes action. There was another with them doing a scene where he is bringing her to the Cullen's home and then where he is dancing with her in his room and they were more "pay-dirt" than this one but they have been pulled from YouTube by Summit for copyright infringement. I got this one though and uploaded to my own server so no one would yank it on me down the line.
But wait it doesn't stop there... More Twilight related stuff. Today D and I were at the Apple store at the Grove at 6:30AM to get in line for the new iPhones. This guy arrived about 7 on crutches and he juggled a coffee while trying to stand up without them. Did I recognize him then, no. No it was about 9:30 when D asked me if he was someone and I took a really good look at him and realized he was Cam Gigandet.  The things I did notice about him is that he is hott in person, he smokes, a lot and he did something to his right leg and spent a lot of time pacing with his crutches. He was about 10 people behind us in line and I didn't feel comfortable approaching him so I just took really bad photos of him. Maybe a braver soul would have said hi, but that soul so wasn't me.

Also in line was Adam Goldberg and he was taking pictures with people in line near him but we weren't in the same line so that never became an option. He looks exactly as he does in the movies.

Last night after we got home we watched Shoot 'Em Up and it was a classic. The lines are so cheesy they are brilliant and the parts with the baby and Clive Owen are just priceless. I decided that we need to own this movie. Monica Bellucci as a lactating prostitute who Owens falls for is just a hilarious premise and the movie delivers.

So, I've had SYTYCD shows, movies, new iPhones, movie star sightings and tons of things on the internet to entertain me. Not to mention I have been reading romance novels one after another again. So is it surprising it took me a few days to post?

I saw The Fall tonight and it was the best movie that I've seen all year. It just blew me away. Lee Pace plays Roy Walker, an actor/stunt, man who meets Alexandria, Catinca Untaru, a young child who is recovering from a fall. He starts telling her stories and they bond as his tales take them away to a fantasy place. Upon learning that she has stolen communion wafers from the priest he asks her to steal drugs for him and their relationship gets more complex. I won't divulge the rest of the story because I think everyone should go and see the movie for themselves. Lee Pace is ungodly wonderful in it, playing the broken and reluctant hero to a young girl. He has a way of acting with his face that is superb. Catinca Untaru is cute and funny and she just shines in this story. The two have the most incredible chemistry it's like magic. The film was shot in 18 countries and the locations were just breathtaking. The costumes, which were showcased in the lobby and D took pictures of and I am hoping he will post on his Vox, were just stunning. The wedding dress of Evelyn is elaborate and gorgeous. There is one scene in the beginning with Alexander the Great in an orange desert that looks like a whimsical production. Going back to scenery there is a castle surrounded by a blue city, that I really liked and an island that is just out of a dream. I'm so excited by what I saw tonight. I wish it were a book, because I just want to relive it again. Maybe if I am really good, D will take me to see it once more before it's out of the theater. I know for a fact that I will own it on DVD when it comes out. I hope it wins lots of awards.

The other big news of the night was the Comic Con info on Twilight. Greetings from Twilight announced that Rob, Kristen, Taylor, Cam, Rachelle, Edi, Catherine and Stephenie will be doing a panel on Thursday and that they would be doing autographs and an eyebrow raising 'more' while there. Summit has it's own booth and that is going to make me a happy girl. Hopefully marketing will have Twilight giveaways. I am so looking forward to this that after hearing about it I immediately put myself into panic because I realized that we would only be driving in Thursday morning. So D and I discussed it and we are going to call the hotel in the morning and see if we can't get a room for Wednesday night. We'll get our badges Wednesday night and then we can get into the hall early Thursday morning so I can be as close to the front as I can get. D even said he would stand in the autograph line to save me a space so I don't miss anything. These are the reasons I married this man, because he really takes care of me when something means a lot to me. I am all sorts of excited about what this all means. I am hoping that they will have something to show us at the panel other than the fight scene. I want a little dazzle. And Comic Con isn't really that far away anymore. The schedule will be out in the next few weeks and then the planning will be in gear. This year it is going to be so good. My one goal is to meet Rob. I'd really like to meet Catherine too, but Rob is my main attraction. And I want Belle to meet him. I told her tonight that it has never occurred to me that she wouldn't be beside me when I met him. Oh god, I am such a fangirl. It's alright though, I accept that I am like this and it is going to work for me this Comic Con.

Pride is this weekend and Sunday is the parade and I would really like to go and see it finally. It means waking up early which I proved I could do last week. I want to take tons of pictures. We will have to see if it happens.

I have a problem getting up in the morning. More so than a normal person. I just can't function in the morning, nothing wakes me up and really thing for the hell I feel is more sleep. Knowing this I drugged myself at 8pm so that I could get up at 8am on Sunday morning. And it worked. I got up and we picked up Belle and went up to Universal Citywalk. Unfortunately, there was a fire in the backlot and the entire place was shut down and we didn't have a clue as to where we were going. Belle found her friends and we did an excursion through Citywalk looking for where we might go to line up for entry to the bleachers. I had my book and I didn't care about the details. I was a bit anxious about things and it was nice to sit and ignore the world with my book. The day wore on and more people showed up, banners in hand, and we all lined up in front of the ampitheater entrance. Hours went by. The sun moved across the sky. Finally someone came over and was asking us about who we were and what we were doing and we told them and they were like 'what?'. Apparently the Twilight Lexicon never spoke to anyone before getting their information and told people to go out, when MTV uses a casted audience. They are now blaming it on the fire. It wasn't a big deal though, well not for me, I just went home and watched the awards on the TV.

I scoured the internet last night and this morning and found tons of pictures of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. KStew looked really pretty, and it hurts me to say that because I really do think I lean hard on the not liking her. They showed the sneak-peek clip of a finished scene of Twilight. It was just what I thought it would be. I think I've seen it before in the MTV Behind the Scenes. So, maybe, I was a little disappointed. I'm not as disappointed as some of the blog writers who, I've read today, saying it's the worst action  sequence they've seen and that it's TV-styled stunts. I'm not having a quarrel with the content, just the fact that I would rather something other. I don't know if I'm sold on Cam Gigandet either. I guess we will see how it all comes together.

The awards were interesting in a really boring way. I think I was only excited for the Johnny Depp parts. The man is just beautiful. It makes me wish Jump Street were on DVD. I would have hours of him to watch then. I asked David to grow his hair out like Johnny's. I really wish I could have been there to see him. I think next year we will just buy the tickets and go to the actual event. Not that that will help me see Johnny Depp but it will definitely make things easier all the way around.

They didn't show anything really that was terribly funny, with the exception being the Jack Black, Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr. Skit for their new movie. I hated all the Adam Sandler stuff, Tom Cruise is a whore. The Will Smith, Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman nominee announcement was just tedious and same went for the Get Smart one. Maybe I shouldn't go next year if this is how I feel.

So the day was a bit of a bust, but I wasn't as disappointed as I really could have been. I would like to have seen Ben Barnes, he looked really good on the carpet pictures and his interview with Christian from Project Runway.  Yummy. I haven't been able to find many to snag though.

Now onto the book. Oh my god it nearly destroyed me this morning. I loved it, but the ending left my romantic heart aching. I am talking about Ink Exchange . Great book, I wish Melissa Marr didn't make me feel like such a jerk for not liking the main character. She's a really strong female character and she is so rare in most of the books that I read. I didn't like her from the previous book and then I started liking her in this one and she goes through this terrible trial and she makes these choices, which in all rights are the right ones. Just I wanted her to do the impossible and it doesn't happen. It's probably one of the most realistic, healthy fantasy books. YA books. Books full-stop. My favorite character is Niall and I thought his path was pretty predictable, which should have told me how the book was going to end but I'm so stubborn. He's really fleshed out in this book, introduced in Wicked Lovely though, and he is clearly this tragic character. Someone really damned by his nature and his honor where Leslie is concerned. Easily the most seductive character of the Faerie-verse. His outcome, like Donia's is really the only course for him. But DAMMIT I wanted more for him. And then there was Irial who just about gave me an ulcer, but in the end I didn't hate him so much as I felt very compassionate towards him. I went kicking and screaming though. I have plans to reread my favorite parts before I go tonight.

Tonight is the book signing for Melissa Marr and I am hoping she talks a little about upcoming books. I would love for her to be coming out with another book in the nearish future. Although that won't be true, but I can lie to myself and think those thoughts. I am hoping, greedy-like, that not a lot of people will show, so that I can talk to her. We will have to wait and see how these things go.

I think that the next book I read will be The Blue Girl by Charles de Lint. I have wanted to read this book for about two years, it found it through BookMooch, although it was never available. It's a little punk rock and it might be nice to leave the land of the squeaky clean Twilight Saga for something more my style. Well I guess I have been doing that with the Melissa Marr books, which have me thinking of repiercing my lip. Now I want to read Wicked Lovely again and immerse myself into some Seth. Back to the thought I was having though... The story is about a girl who wants to change herself and I can get behind that. And it will be fun to read a story about a girl, written from a man's perspective. I know the author is good when they can sell me on the other sex. Let's face it, most women do not portray men realistically. They really make fantastic beings and that isn't really the best character portrayal. I hope this book doesn't disappoint. I hope that I can get out of The Host and Wicked Lovely enough to read another book.
